I’m a licensed psychologist practicing in Ontario, Florida, and across PsyPact states. And here’s what I’ve learned: therapy works best when it stops feeling like therapy and starts feeling like a real conversation.
So that’s where we’ll start. I’m warm, I’m direct, and I’ll meet you where you are. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, relationship struggles, trauma, or just a sense that something needs to shift—I’ll help you figure out what’s getting in the way, and we’ll work through it together.

A lot of what I do is help people understand the patterns that keep them stuck. Avoidance, for example, is one of the most persistent patterns I see. The more we sidestep the things that scare us, the bigger they grow. I use evidence-based approaches—including CBT, ACT, Gottman Method, EFT, mindfulness, clinical hypnotherapy, and humanistic/existential therapy—to help you build real resilience and create lasting change, not just temporary relief.
I also work with couples, with people navigating life transitions, and with clients exploring questions around sexuality and intimacy. My approach is non-judgmental and normalizing. If something feels shameful or hard to say out loud, that’s usually exactly where the most meaningful work happens.

I have a PhD in psychology and trained at various hospitals such as the Queensway Carleton Hospital in Ottawa and the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal. I bring both rigorous clinical training and my own life experience into the room—including an awareness of cultural and intergenerational dynamics that shape who we are. Because those things matter.
Beyond the clinical work, I’m someone who values contemplation and presence. I find that slowing down and paying attention—whether in a therapy session or in daily life—is where real understanding begins.
If you’re ready to start, I’d love to hear what’s going on for you.

I am licensed by the Florida Board of Psychology, the College of Psychologists of Ontario, and the Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT; PsyPact).

Professional Affiliations: The American Psychological Association, the Ontario Psychological Association, the Florida Psychological Association, the Ottawa Academy of Psychology, and the American Society for Clinical Hypnosis.

A Little More about Me and the Nature Pictures on this Site

You can't rush your healing, darkness has it's teaching (Trevor Hall)

My favourite time to walk is before dawn when I might catch sight of baby raccoons gazing at me from behind a tree. As the first pillar of light streams over the horizon, the songs of birds captivate my attention as each warbler starts their varied songs at different times. As daylight floods the earth, I feel lucky to see a squirrel or a dragonfly starting their day.

I am frequently plugged into the digital world listening to podcasts and music of diverse styles. These early morning walks, in contrast, are a chance to unplug and let nature prepare me to be open and ready for my first client. I’m ready and would welcome you to join me for therapy.

The nature pictures on this site are all from my hikes and bike rides throughout Florida, Ottawa, and Gatineau.

Growth and transformation are largely based on an environment of compassion, safety, and collaboration.  Throughout our journey together as an individual or as a couple, I provide a confidential therapeutic relationship marked by compassion, empathy, and authentic, genuine engagement.

I help individuals and couples examine their distress by working through their experiences, issues, or concerns to understand and clarify their current beliefs, emotions, and behaviours as they relate to personal decisions and their relationships.

We’ll work together to both diminish your symptoms and associated distress, and then we’ll deepen our work to understand issues underlying your concerns and symptoms. As an integrative therapist, I
incorporate modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Clinical Hypnotherapy, and

The Gottman Method.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario and a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.

I work with clients presenting with a variety of issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, shame, loss, grief, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, intimacy, and effective communication
issues.   I endeavour to help clients realize their potential for inner development, self-directed growth, and nurturing relationships.  Ultimately, my goal in therapy is to facilitate and accommodate clients reclaiming their ability to make mindful choices and decisions, and to gain autonomy over their lives.
